A unique CSR activity for a tech friendly team! The science squad took over to create an activity with a meaningful impact! This hands-on experience challenged team members to collaborate efficiently, think creatively, and make the best use of their resources. Partcicipants were divided into teams that had one goal, to assemble a STEM robot!
As soon as the activity started it was obvious that these eager engineers would have several challenges along the way! The missing parts of the robots had to be retrieved through solving engaging challenges. The teams that solved the riddles in the shortest time were awarded for their teamwork, problem-solving skills, and collaboration. Then they had to assemble the robots in order to be fully functional. When the engineering part was over, team members had the chance to navigate their robot through a user-friendly application through iPad devices. They could choose either to simply use the iPad as a remote control or create a series of commands in the app, in order to make the robot to move automatically.
All robots were then donated to “The Smile of a Child” to support STEM education programs for children across Greece. STEM education, apart from being extra fun for the little scientists, stimulates creativity, curiosity, problem solving skills and also prepares them for a world that constantly changes, and needs digital literacy and an innovative mindset.
